Hi, and welcome to my webpage. If you’re here you probably already know me, or at least know something about me, so it’s a little odd to write an introduction. But here is one, anyway:

I’m an American writer currently living in Australia. I do all sorts of work with words, from my bread-and-butter job as a Hansard reporter in Parliament (editing and transcribing more than writing) to my “real” work writing fiction, essays, and memoirs.

I love to exchange works in progress with other writers, but I’ve been unable to find a writing group here where I live. So a lot of my exchanges happen by email – some with editors (like wonderful Sy and Andrew at The Sun) and some with my writer friends. If you’d like to join my “writer friends” email list, just let me know; you’ll be subjected only to a few emails a year about various projects or events.
